La première direction concerne la mécanique statistique rigoureuse et en particulier l'étude des transitions de phase dans des cas exactement solubles et/ou d'un point de vue géométrique. La deuxième direction concerne la physique statistique des systèmes quantiques ouverts (hors d'équilibre), et le développement de modèles et d'outils analytiques pour étudier les états stationnaires hors d'équilibre. La troisième direction regarde la physique statistique des systèmes complexes et des réseaux complexes, depuis l'étude de leur structure jusqu'à l'étude des processus dynamiques sur réseau, et est pionnière dans l'étude des réseaux temporels. Le paradigme des réseaux pouvant être utilisé pour décrire de nombreux systèmes d'origines et de natures diverses, nos recherches sont interdisciplinaires, incluant des interactions avec les sciences sociales, l'épidémiologie, l'informatique ou les neurosciences.</p> <p>L'équipe participe également à l'<a href="http://centuri-livingsystems.org/" class='spip_out' rel='external'>Institut Convergence CENTURI</a>. Elle accueille depuis 2019 3 PIs financés partiellement par CENTURI, dont les thèmes de recherche concernent les effets collectifs et l'auto-organisation dans les systèmes vivants, la mécanique des cellules, et les neurosciences. Ils interagissent avec des groupes expérimentaux à l'<a href="http://www.ibdm.univ-mrs.fr" class='spip_out' rel='external'>IBDM</a> et à l'<a href="http://www.inmed.fr/en/" class='spip_out' rel='external'>INMED</a>.</p> <p>Les méthodes utilisées par les membres de l'équipe vont d'outils mathématiques rigoureux à des simulations numériques et à l'analyse de données empiriques, en passant par toute la gamme d'outils habituels d'approximations en physique statistique.</p></div>
