I will review some statistical caveats in order to interpret the Cosmic Microwave Background anomalies listed in the "PLANCK 2015 results XVI. Isotropy and statistics of the CMB" paper. As a particular example I will describe the statistical analysis performed on the Cold Spot. Finally, I briefly discuss Bayesian model comparison as an interesting alternative to standard hypothesis testing.
