The Cosmic Microwave Background at High Angular Resolution

Polarization and weak gravitational lensing of the CMB

Anthony CHALLINOR
Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge

Course Chapters
  1. CMB polarization -- physics and observational status
  2. Introduction to CMB lensing
  3. Lensing reconstruction and non-Gaussian aspects

Abstract
I will cover the physics of CMB polarization, the latest observational results and future prospects. I will then discuss weak gravitational lensing of the CMB including the motivation for its study, effects on the power spectra, lensing reconstruction and non-Gaussian aspects. I will also discuss the current observational status of CMB lensing and future prospects.
