TITLE RF Control of Tokamak Transport AUTHOR Raghvendra SINGH ABSTRACT In this paper we have studied the effect of mean RF ponderomotive force on the important tokamak tyransport candidates, which have growth rates dominated by curvature, namely, ITG modes in the confinement zone , drift resistive ballooning modes in the edge and curvature driven conducting wall instability in the scrape-off layer. We have also elucidated the condition under which the contribution from mean ponderomotive force effects are more important than the earlier investigated Reynolds stress induced velocity shear effects.
