Titre : Maximally entangled N00N states in multi-component cold atom optical lattices

Résumé :
N00N states (|N0> + |0N>) are highly nonclassical quantum states that have applications in high-resolution interferometry. We propose to generalize two-component N00N states to a multi-component system formed by several cold bosonic atom traps connected by tunneling. These "super-Schrödinger cat states" are obtained by resonantly driving the system with a periodic oscillation of the interaction, in presence of a chemical potential offset. Besides pair correlations induced by the resonant drive, specific values of the drive amplitude allow either to pin particles in a single trap (Coherent Destruction of Tunneling), or on the contrary, for closeby parameters, to stabilize high quality N00N states of more than 2 components, such as (|N00> + |0N0> + |00N>).
