Application for registration

— Whether you are a participant or lecturer you must register —
The deadline for registration is  3 September 2012

This school is intended for researchers, postdocs and PhD students, primarily those working in or associated with CNRS units, but other participants are also welcomed and mainly if they are involved in these domains. This is a theme school CNRS whose objectives are in particular training of researchers and an upgrade reciprocal of the communities involved, and it is for this reason that the lecturers themselves become participants.

The registration are done in two steps: :
  • Attend this school, you must complete two independent forms: in the first you express your motivation, the second is on the site of the IESC website from the tab "XIth school of cosmology."  If you are accepted then your name appears on the list of participants. In addition, you will receive an official invitation letter by email and access code to complete the second form (with your dates of arrival and departure, your choice of accommodation, your specific food, etc. .). In case of changes, it is essential that these informations be updated ​​before the deadline, you also send a warning message to the person in charge of the organization. All the logistic will be based on your registration form.
In particular, you are asked to specify:
    • your diet, so that the chef can adapt their orders, at least one week prior to school;
    •  your choice on the type of accommodation. You will be offered the best solution depending on availability a few days before your arrival;
    • the names of people with whom you want to share your home, if you have a family and the age of your children.
    • the dates of your arrival and departure in Corsica, which can be helpful to minimize your traveling costs. Indeed, a single bus service will be organized by the IESC, the schedule can be adapted to suit your arrivals. If necessary, additional transport can be arranged but at your expense
After attending school, you must fill out the online assessment questionnaire.

Your stay at IESC

Participants are not expected before Monday, September 17, 2012 in the morning and must leave before Saturday, September 22, 2012 by late morning. In exceptional cases and with the agreement of the institute, participants may arrive on Sunday (by appointment at 19h at the entrance of the IESC).

Your stay will not be managed by IESC outside this period.

Accommodation is provided in bedrooms or studios to the IESC, in apartments in the village, or at the hotel. The apartments are provided with the necessary (cooking utensils and linens). The final allocation will be established by the Institute according to your wishes and availability. Camping is allowed in exceptional circumstances within the walls of the IESC but the equipment is not provided.

Only lunches and the banquet are provided to the IESC.


Cost of your stay at the IESC

You do not have to pay registration fee, but you agree to answer two questionnaires, the first one during registration and a second after school. For academics, postdocs and PhD students, if their presence is of scientific interest for the school, they can make a request from the organizers of taking charge of their living expenses.

The cost of living in the IESC are irreducible and correspond to a package of five days, fares in euro are:

They include accommodation (unless you live in the hotel) and the lunches to the IESC, the price shown in brackets corresponds to an arrival on Sunday. For participants that come with their families, please add an extra 20.50 per night for each accompanying person. To get an estimate of your expenses, you must add other items, such as the cocktail (5.80 €), banquet (23 €), your contribution to transport (bus and taxi) and the tour (sea or mountain).

You can pay for your accommodation and food:

  • either by bank transfer payable to the  "M Régisseur de recettes auprès de l'IES de Cargèse, Université de Corse 20250 Corte". Please include your name and identification "Ecole de Cosmologie 11". 
 The corresponding voucher should be submitted to the Secretary of the IESC. Please add bank charges.
